Student Co-Op Program

Each year, companies compete for top talent.  MSA believes that having a strategy for capturing this talent is good business.  The MSA Cooperative Student Program, or Co-Op, is an important recruiting channel through which MSA is able to identify high-potential prospective employees for the future.

MSA hires full-time students enrolled at Columbia Basin College (CBC) and/or Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSU-TC) to work full-time during the summer months, transitioning to 20-32 hours per week once the academic year begins.  MSA selects individuals based on their field of study, and its relevance to the job assignment.   To qualify for the Co-Op program, students must meet and maintain specific requirements outlined in the Program Requirements Presentation.

For more information on the Student Co-Op Program, please contact Susan Hiller at 509-372-2335 (Susan_M_Hiller@rl.gov) or Kieth Banta at 509-373-5891 (Kieth_R_Banta@rl.gov).

CI Interns

Summer internship opportunities at MSA occur through CI Student Staffing, a division of Columbia Industries. Paid internships typically last 10-16 weeks and obtaining credit from your college/university for this experience is highly encouraged. Individuals must be enrolled as a full-time college student in order to be eligible for an internship through CI Staffing. There are a variety of internship opportunities available in engineering, business, accounting, health physics, contracts/procurement, or other mission-related disciplines. Please visit the CI Staffing’s website for more information.
