MBP Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Plans
Short Term Disability - CIGNA (#601313)

Short-Term Disability (STD) benefits replace a portion of your income when you are unable to work due to an off-the-job injury or illness.  The company will pay for a weekly benefit of 66 2/3% of annual base pay up to a maximum of $1,500 per week for a maximum of 26 weeks.

If you are a MSA Market Based Plan (MBP) employee going out on STD, please email MBP Benefits Administration at Benefits-MBP@rl.gov.

 

Long Term Disability - CIGNA (#601179)

The cost of this coverage is fully paid by you.  If you remain disabled for 180 consecutive calendar days due to any one disability, injury or illness, you will be eligible to apply for Long-Term Disability benefits.  You may choose from two options:

Option 1: 50% of your base monthly salary to a maximum monthly benefit of $8,333

Option 2: 60% of your base monthly salary to a maximum monthly benefit of $10,000
